Rwanda faces a growing crisis of non-communicable diseases — yet reliable health guidance remains out of reach for millions. Ireme connects patients, families, and doctors to close that gap.
Why Ireme exists
"Not all health knowledge can be written down — but much of it that can be, still isn't."
Non-communicable diseases — diabetes, hypertension, cancer, heart disease — now account for 47% of all deaths in Rwanda (Rwanda Vital Statistics Report 2024). Yet most people manage these conditions alone, without access to the right information.
Ireme exists to change that. We connect people who have health knowledge to the people who need it — in the language they speak, at a cost they can afford, available wherever they are.

The NCD crisis in Rwanda
According to WHO, NCDs claimed 43 million lives globally in 2021 — 75% of all non-pandemic deaths. In Rwanda, the Rwanda Vital Statistics Report 2024 shows 47% of all recorded deaths were caused by NCDs. Ireme is built specifically for this reality.
